May updates

May 31, 2007 Day +1520 Day +1218 off treatment
We were back on the road by 11:00 this morning. We took our time getting started this morning. It was a long trip home as Taylor asked every few miles what state we were in. He ended up getting in trouble when I told him not to ask again and he threw something at me. I don’t think so! We finally got home around 3:30. The kids headed straight outside, but really wanted to swim! We went to eat with Guh and Gam maw and Paw Paw then headed to Gam maw’s house. The boys had intentions of swimming, but soon opted for bike riding with the neighbor kids. They had a blast. There was a fire around the corner and our freinds who are volunteer fire fighters came over and handled it and then let the kids look at the fire truck. Taylor loved it, but Logan jumped 10 feet when the siren came on. It was 8:20 before we headed for home with 2 very sleepy and grumpy boys. They have big plans to drive down to the hunting club tomorrow and then……swim!

Taylor got home today to find he had email from camp saying he is going to week long on June 11th. He is so excited!!!!! A few notes for you all. We will be doing the lemonade stand for the motorcycle ride on June 16th. If you would like to donate ice or lemonade please contact us. If you would like to ride in the ride you can get details at www.campsam.org We will also have a blood drive on July 24th at the church. I will send out more details when I can, but mark your calendar!!!

Another fun filled day. We went to DollyWood this morning and rode some rides. It is much more crowded than it was in April. It still wasn’t too bad. The kids did all they wanted and we left for lunch. We grabed a quick bite at Wendy’s then went to the Nation park and played in that ice cold mountain water. Logan was begging to swim and I tried to tell him it would be cold, but he wasn’t having it. I finally told them that I don’t care if they swim if they can handle the cold. They were having the time of their lives jumping from rock to rock until they each slipped and fell into that cold water. I wish I had a picture of the faces that they made. The brushed it off though and kept playing.

After that stop we went back to splash country. Taylor looked like he had messed in his pants with all the mud from falling in the creek, but luckily the chlorine took care of that after a dip in the pool. We played there for several hours and got some big squirts to play with too. Taylor had to promise to try more new stuff at dinner if we got one. They are also sold at Alabama adventure, but we get a discount at Dollywood, so we got them there and they can use them at AA too. Anyway, after some fun with that we headed back to the hotel. I let the boys swim at the hotel pool because they had not had enough yet. We met a new friend there. Tammy, who had downs syndrome, had just graduated from high school and was on a trip with her mom. She had gotten her nails done and was taking a dip before her special steak and lobster dinner. They were super nice people. Congrats to Tammy for her accomplishments! We soon went to eat too. We went to Red Lobster and Taylor was true to his word and tried a garlic shrimp scampi and liked it! However, I told him not to get used to such an expensive treat! Logan didn’t eat at all. He is full, literally. He will not go to the bathroom anywhere but school or home. He has not gone in 2 days and it is catching up to him. He is miserable! After dinner we played putt putt golf and then did some shopping before heading back to the room.

The boys were so tired tonight that they climbed in bed and were out in no time. I got things packed up and ready to head out in the morning. I told ya it was a quick trip!

We left around 6:30 this morning to head to Pigeon Forge, TN. We arrived around 11:45. The boys were thrilled to be there after many “are we there yets”. We threw our stuff in the room and changed into our swim stuff and hit Dollywood splash country. It was hot as blue blazes, but that water was ice cold! The kids didn’t care and they loved playing on the slides, with the shooting things, in the pools and all the other cool stuff there was to do. That place is huge compared to Alabama Adventure and is so spread out even though it was crowded you couldn’t tell it.

We played for a while then headed back to the room to get changed and eat dinner. We did some shopping and sight seeing. The boys got a prizefor tasting new foods. Vacation always spawns new foods and funny faces! They both tried pears, strawberry, peaches and pinapple. Taylor liked the pears, but gagged on everything else. Logan liked none of it, but went for carrots instead. Logan likes fuit, but was being grumpy. Taylor is just so picky that it takes a lot to get him to try stuff.

We ended up back in the room by 7:00 and we were just watching TV and playing in the room. I don’t know why were all so tired, I guess driving all day. Please keep Ryan in your prayers.

Today Jim and I slept late since there was no early bird Logan to get us up. We hung out at home until nearly 11:00 when we went to Gam maw’s to find 2 little boys in the pool! They are going to turn into prunes before June. You would think they would get tired of it, but nope!

After a few hours of pool time we headed home where the boys played outside and I packed for our quick trip to Pigeon Forge tomorrow. We got all packed and ready to go and guess what they wanted to do? Yep, we went back to the pool! After a trip to Bob Syke’s for some BBQ we headed home to get in bed and get ready to leave bright and early tomorrow.

Today was a fun day. Taylor had his team party today. They swam all day long. It was a little boys paradise at this pals house with the batting cage, pool, water slide, riding toys, swings, sand and more. Taylor went down the slide at the same time as a friend came down the hill on a riding toy and they had a crash. He cried and he does have a bruise on his shoulder blade, but he is fine. He shrugged it off and kept playing. Logan was jumping off the diving board! Yes, it was scary, but he loved it.

After a great afternoon with his friends we went to Gam maw’s to swim some more. The boys begged to stay the night and since tomorrow is a holiday they stayed. Once again Jim and I headed home to do nothing. Well, I did clean house. It was getting a bit ridiculous!

Please be in prayer for Ryan. He has taken a turn for the worse and is back in the hospital. His tumor is really aggresive and he and his family could use your prayers. www.caringbridge.org/visit/ryanotto

2007May 26, 2007 Day +1515 Day 1213 off treatment
Today finished up our ball season. Last night Taylor had a ball game at 7:30. It ended rather early since the ump wasn’t really paying attention and though the other team had a 10 run lead, we were the home team and should have gotten another bat. Our poor little team just isn’t doing good this season and the boys had already shaken hands and took off before the umps and coaches decided to play another inning and we said forget it. The kids don’t care if they won or lost, they just want to play. The boys spent the night with Gammaw and Paw Paw after the game and Jim and I went home and went to bed. It is funny, we used to go to the movies or out to eat or something and now we come home and go to bed! We are old!

Today started early. Logan had a game at 8:30. He did pretty good. He is just a silly goose. He slid at every base about 2 foot from the base! He just wants to be dirty and dirty he was! He sat in the dug out all alone for a while and I thought he was upset or feeling bad, so I went to check on him. While I was with him his 2 school friends got there and off he went in true Logan style!

We all went home to play inbetween games. Taylor had to be back at 1:30 for his game. It turned out to be delayed due to a tie in the game before us. It was a nail biter and ended up over throwing the number 1 team in the end. It was serious for a while.

Taylor did a real good job today. All the boys did, but again it was a 10 run lead this time the ump wouldn’t call the game. I think he was a little gun shy after messing up last night. It was so hot that I don’t think anyone minded leaving a little early. We all headed to the pool to swim and cook out. It was a lot of fun. It is not even June yet and my kids are waterlogged and loving it!

The last day of school. Wow! I think today was harder than the 1st day. We went by the school and got his report card that was all S’s. That is the kindergarten A honor roll. Way to go Taylor! He had a special pencil from Mr. Jackson too! It was also stamped “promoted” Yeah, the big 1st grader. We went to the 1st grade hall and visited and looked around. The big change there is that they have to go down the hall to the bathroom instead of to the back of the room. He will not have troubles with that as long as he doesn’t play in the bathroom!

After we finished up at the school we went to the bank where my car decided to run hot. I tell ya, it is always something. Paw Paw came and got us and tended to the car. Still no reason as to why it did. I just pray it is not a huge problem that will cost bundles of money to fix cause I don’t have it!! Oh well, what do you do. I have a healthy little boy, so money and cars don’t matter!

We are now home and the boys are resting. I say resting because they are not climbing the walls or fighting. They are both in their own rooms playing quietly. That doens’t happen much, but it sure is nice. It will soon be time to head to the ball park. Tomorrow finishes up our season for this year. We still have 2 team parties and closing ceremoies, but that will be it. I am glad. I love ball and I love to watch them play, but it is so hectic getting everyone to practice and rushing to games and stuff.

Today was pretty normal. We went to school where I only had 8 friends. We just had a lazy day and played. Taylor again loved it. Logan loves him going too, but really wants to stay with Taylor rather than go to his class.

After school we came home and the boys cleaned their rooms. Sorta! We had to go to the funeral home this evening. Please keep the Fanchers in your prayers as the go through the coming weeks.

Once home we grilled and ate on the deck. Too bad the kids couldn’t play. They acted like wild animals tonight and I am really tired of being the lady with the kids that can’t behave. So, they are in their rooms for the night and none to happy about it.

Please pray for Taylor and his continued success against cancer. Pray for Evan as again he didn’t have change in is scans. However, he is stable meaning things are not spreading or growing and that is good. Pray for Cody who has been told that his cancer is termial. You can visit him at www.carepages.com and enter codymyers1.

Today was such an easy day. I only had 5 kids in my class Taylor being one of them. They were so good and just played all day. It was great. I was able to get some work done in my room. They helped too. They took name tags down and sorted art work. They had fun and I didn’t have to do it all.

After school we hung out at home again. The boys played outside and got good and dirty. Much to our surprise it started to rain this evening. Boy, do we need it. Hopefully, it will also take away that smoke smell. We are 100’s of miles away from the fires in Ga. and Fl., but we can smell it.

Please continue to pray for all the families and kids out there who are fighting cancer or some other illness or injury.

Today was pretty routine for us. Taylor had fun at my school again today. After school we went just hung out at home until it was time for ball practice. Logan had his last practice today. Yahoo! He did real well today. Figures, the last one and he participates and does good. He is hitting great and can hit, catch and throw both left or right handed. Hmmm…. I hope he keeps that knack! I took Taylor to his practice, but I left as soon as Jim got there, so I don’t know how he did. He loves to go and be with his buddies. He has one more practice on Thursday and then he is done too.

We went to Gam maw’s for dinner after practice. The water is still cold, so we didn’t swim. Logan fell asleep sitting straight up and never missed a beat even through putting him in and out of the car and getting put to bed. He was tired!

Please keep Taylor in your prayers. Pray he continues to win the battle! Pray for Evan who is still waiting on results. Pray for Ryan as he does IV chemo for the first time. Pray for Lori as she undergoes surgery tomorrow.

Today we are need of some prayers. Some dear prayer warriors and coworkers of Jim’s have gotten some bad news. Lori and and Daryl were wonderful prayer warriors and supporters of us and Taylor through out all of our journey. Lori got news that she has breast cancer and she is pregnant with their 2nd child. This is heartbreaking to us and to them, so please send prayers to them as they make decisions for both her health and that of the unborn baby. We love you guys, hang in there!

Today was pretty normal other than we didn’t head to carpool. Taylor really liked going to school with me and plays well with the other kids. He does the work and art with them, so they don’t really think anything of him being there. They do fight to stand by him or play with him and he thinks that is just grand.

After school we went to Guh’s house to play for a bit. They were filthy after only a few hours of play. It was soon time to go home and we left just in time to get stuck in rush hour traffic. It wasn’t too bad and we were soon home for more outside play. Both boys were very cranky today as they are still tired from camp and all the playing they did today. It will slow down soon with ball coming to an end this weekend and with school going to 3 days a week for Logan and I.

Please keep Lori in your prayers as she starts this journey. Pray for Evan as they find out results and pick a new treatment plan. Pray for Ryan as he starts this new treatment. Pray that Taylor never again faces cancer.

Today was another great day at camp. We did a scrap book activity that Taylor really enjoyed. Then it was time for closing camp. We pass the heart beat around camp by squeezing hands and it can be very emotional. Today was emotional as we learned that Dr. Buckley is moving to Washington DC. He will be greatly missed! I was also sad that I missed the luncheon held for Bobby and Twink, our preacher and his wife who are retiring this month. They too, will be greatly missed.

Ghen Ghen took 2 very nasty little boys to see Shreck III this afternoon. Gam maw and I went to get out toes done and then we all met back up for some swimming. That little cold snap made the water cold, so that didn’t last too long. When we got home near 8:00, it was bed time for us all. We were all so tired and cranky.

Please pray for Evan as they await news of the scans. Pray for Ryan as he goes inpatient tomorrow for port placement and chemo. Pray that Taylor never again faces cancer.

The big day is here. The ROL left Tuscaloosa around 6:20 this morning. I have gotten several messages from Jim through out the day and updates from camp staff that they get from the ROL. Everything is going great. The weather is perfect for them and time is looking to be right on schedule for their entrance into camp tonight.

Today we had a yummy breakfast. Taylor usually sits with us for meals, but not this time. He was all about his counselors and new pals. He made a new friend who was missing the same 4 teeth and we got a cute picture of them sharing that big grin for us. Logan was a little less clingy today, but still a bit. I did get him to go with his group and I went to a cooking class, a game on the ropes course, a massage, and just some down time.

I got word at lunch that Jim was still riding at mile 75. That was not the plan, so I was impressed that he was still going, but hoping he didn’t push and then not be able to come in at the end. After lunch I went to a parent pannel. This was great at off therapy camp when we got to ask the long term survivors things. This time I was on the pannel and I got to answer questions about how we dealt with treatment, what it is like now that it is over, how to give meds and so on. It was nice to get to help others through like we had been helped in the past.

It was soon time to get ready for the dance and the ROL entrance. I had to get a ride for me and a sleeping Logan. He had finally given up. They say he cried some, but he made it through without anyone having to get me. He was not real thrilled with the suite and after a picture of him in it off it came, so no costume for Logan. Taylor on the other hand was thrilled to be buzz light year! Gammaw, Ghen GHen and Roberta all got there in the midst of getting ready and we got to show them around. We let the kids eat dinner and then we all headed to the main gate to watch for the riders. Finally at about 6:20, 12 hours after their start, here they came. Stephanie in the lead with Jim and Bob, the 2 dads that rode, right behind her. I had tears, they had tears, it was very emotional. I was so proud of him for doing it at all, but then I learned that he did 122 miles out of the 150! Wow, way to go Jim!!! We went to take photos with the riders and present the check for 112,000 plus! Thank you ROL cyclist!

After the ceremony we all went to eat and then to the dance. Jim went to bed and the boys would rather be outside playing, so I never even made it onto Mariners hall for the dance. I took Logan up to bed and left Taylor with JB on the playground. I started to pack up everything we wouldn’t need again and getting ready to leave in the morning. JIm was snoring away on the entire bed and Logan was talking a million miles a minute. I wanted to go to the health hut and get some propophol (sedation meds). Taylor has worn all his clean clothes, so I am not sure what he will wear tomorrow, but as long as he is having fun, that is okay!

Finally, it is camp day. After school, we had to run a few errands and then head home to pack the car up and we were on our way. We left early since we didn’t have to wait on Jim to get off work. The kids were thrilled to finally get there. Taylor was off in no time and never looked back. Logan on the other hand was very clingy and cried and cried. He finally went with Leah and let me go up to the parents meeting. That is always an emotional time, but this time was ever harder. There were 8 new families there. That means there are 8 more kids that have cancer. It was hard for them to say their diagnosis and stuff, so we shared some tears. I would like to think that I gave them hope when I was able to say that Taylor was 4 years NED and this was our 5th summer at camp. Can you believe that! Gosh, we love camp. More tears came when I learned that our dear friend, Ryan, had relapsed, again. Please pray for Ryan as he starts more chemo on Monday which is his birthday. www.caringbridge.org/visit/ryanotto

After the meeting we all met back up with the kids for smores. However, with the no burn status right now we had to cook them in the oven and sit around an empty fire pit with flash lights. Hey, they were still yummy. It was soon time to head to bed, well, at least it was for Logan and I. I am not sure how long Taylor stayed out, probably not long since it was so cold out.

Logan was asleep in no time flat. I was excited to get to keep the light on and hog the bed while I read, but I didn’t get much reading done. I couldn’t keep my mind off sweet Ryan. He is the life of the pary all the time and to see him in that wheel chair just breaks my heart. Please be in prayer for Ryan and his mom Michelle.

Today Taylor went to school with me. He was thrilled. He has wanted to come back for the longest time. I am sure the new will wear off and he will get bored, but for today, it was fun.

After school we headed home and cleaned and packed for camp. They are so excited to go. Logan had a ballgame tonight. He doesn’t normally play in the middle of the week, but it was to make up for the game we cancelled due to the cold weather. I missed the game since I had to take a CPR class. The class was very small and therefore very quick. I have had it several times before, so it was easy. I did make it back to the park in time to see his last bat and he hit the first ball pitched to him. Way to go Logan!

Pray for Evan as he goes into his MIBG tomorrow. Pray for Taylor that he never fights cancer again. Pray for Jim and the ROL riders!

Today was a fun day. Logan went to Paw paw’s for a little bit while I went to the school to have breakfast with Taylor. It was really cute. They all had build a bears with their school shirts on and they held name tags to show their spots at the table. He had a ABC book that was full of stories and pictures from the school year. I cried like a baby when Miss Thornton read a poem about Kindergarten coming to an end. I swear I think that the last day was harder than the first. Mrs. Thornton, if you are reading this, we will miss you so much and thank you for everything!!!!

Taylor was upset that he couldn’t check out, but since he plans not to go back after today he had to stay. I did check him out after I got off and he was having fun. Mrs. Thornton gave me some photos from the beginning of the year and he has changed so much. It is unreal how he has matured over the last 9 months. We discussed next year and she assured me I could come to her if I needed her. She doesn’t know what she is getting into does she? You all know that I willl call you night or day if I am worried! No, really, I know she means it and I am so grateful to her for it.

We headed home with a back pack full of books, papers etc from the year. We will go back next week to deliver her a gift and get his report card and anything else that gets put in his cubby. I am amazed at how fast the year went by. I promise it was just yesterday that I dropped my tiny, 5 year old off in hie red and white plaid shirt and navy shorts. Looking like a little man, he sat in his big boy desk and looked around with wide eyes. Everyday he came home with a new word he could spell or a new fact. He was a little sponge and he soaked up everything. It is amazing!

We came home and hung out. It was a rainy day so our plans to go swim kind of got knocked out, but that is okay. The boys did get to see something cool. It was pouring rain as I sat and looked out the living room window into the front yard. I stepped out onto the deck to move Taylor’s bike that he had left outside and it was not raining in the back yard. I called them out and it was so funny to see them looking out in wonder at the fact that the rain just stopped. It was funny!

We did have some bad news tonight. Well, bad to us. The computer had a virus or something and ALL of the 2006 pictures are gone. The first day of school, graduation from preschool, cruise, ball, everything. Yes, I cried! Hopefully, my computer savy hubby can retrieve it all. Pray for me, I am a picture nut and I can’t live without them.

Please pray for Evan who is scanning this week. Pray for Jim and the other riders as they go out Saturday morning.

Today was busy! We all had a regular day of school. Once school was over we had to get everyone ready for a busy night. Taylor had a ballgame at 6:15 and Logan had his school prgram at 6:30.

Jim met us at Logan’s school and took Taylor to the ballpark. I kept Logan for the program. He looked like such an angel up there. He didn’t sing a word and had his little finger in his mouth. He did walk to get his certificate. If you didn’t know him you would have thought he was the shy kid in the class! Ha! They all did great and it was very cute.

After they sang all the family took Logan to the ballpark to watch Taylor’s game. I had plans to meet them for dinner afterwards. My kids did great in their program and graduation. How cute they all looked in their cap and gowns. After many hugs and pictures I made my way out to the car to meet up with the others. I had a message that said they were still playing, so I headed to the ballpark to find that they had ended up with 2 games. Yuck! It was too late for 2 games in that age group and Taylor had not had dinner. Oh well! They lost them both, but really had the potential to have won the second one. They had a great at bat and caught up, but then got kind of sloppy in the field. That’s alright, they had fun and that is all that counts!

After the game we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then went home to jump in the tub and get ready for school. Tomorrow is the last day!!!!

Please pray for Evan as he starts scans this week!!!! www.caringbridge.org/visit/evanthomason

Today we started yet another week, however, this is Taylor’s last week of school. Wow! Today we had ball practice for Taylor. Logan and I stayed the entire time just for lack of anything better to do. He had fun playing with the other little ones running around.

We went to dinner with some ball friend after practice. Taylor loves that and it is fun to see him interact with kids off the ball field or school area. They had fun!

We are gearing up for camp this weekend and the ROL!!!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I remember Mother’s Day 2000 when we got to tell our news of being pregnant as our gift to our mother’s. I remember Mother’s Day 2001 when we took a 3 month old Taylor all over the campus of Auburn and took pictures. I remember the Mother’s day of 2002 when a 15 month old Taylor used crayons for the first time to color me a picture. I remember the Mother’s day of 2003 when I again shared the news of being pregnant with our mother’s. I remember the Mother’s Day 2004 I was able to attend church with my new baby and my healthy 3 year old for the first time in a long time. In 2005 a 4 year old Taylor finally went to Children’s minute at church, alone! In 2006 we went to Alabama Adventure where we had to stop and poop every 5 minutes. Poor Taylor had a tummy bug, but tried to have fun.

That brings us to today. We went to church as a family, a healthy family. All though Mr. Taylor is very snotty and pooping! Sound familiar. I have to tell myself it is just a tummy bug, Logan has had it for several days too. He was full of energy yesterday and played very hard and has every right to be tired today. He did not take his meds last night since he fell asleep early and you can always tell a difference when he misses it. He also has been in the pool and that always starts to drain that nose. I have to remind myself of this or I will go crazy with worry for no reason.

However, with that being said, he went to the potty and seems to feel better as far as his tummy is concerned. I gave him sudafed and he was finally able to blow his nose. He is eager to get to the pool, so he mustn’ feel too bad! It really stinks that we must live with these constant reminders that cancer once invaded his tiny body. However, that is life and I know that God is in control and though I often can not let go and let Him, I know his Will is the perfect will.

We have plans to go to Nana’s and eat and then to Gam maw and Paw paw’s to eat and swim. It is the final week of school for Taylor and he is thrilled. We have school programs and ball games too, so it will be busy. I will try and not take so long to update next time!

Please be in prayer that Taylor is never again faced with cancer. Pray that Evan has good results on his upcoming scans. Pray for all the kids out there who are fighitng. Pray for all the Mother’s who are missing their babies today. Pray for those who are missing thier mom’s today. Happy Mother’s Day!!!

What a day! The boys had spent the night with Guh and she met us at the ballpark. Logan did well in his game. He hit both times at bat and did not need the tee. He is my money maker I think. He seems to want to do things with both his left and right hands. Let’s hope he develops that skill well! After the ballgame we went home and played outside until time for Taylor to be back at the ballpark. It was so hot out and no one really was in the mood to be there, but it didn’t show on the field. The guys did not win, but they played great.

Taylor’s first at bat he struck out and it upset him. He started to cry and had hurt his arm. I was afraid that would be it for him, but he got over it and played good. At the beginning of the season Jim bet him a trip to Disney World if he caught a fly ball and He did it. It was not accidental either, he lined himself up and caught it. He even threw it in and didn’t hold it. Wow! Talk about proud!!! He got up at the next bat and hit it too. He is turning out to be quite the ball player! Way to go Taylor!

After the ballgame we went to swim. They have been so ready to get in the pool and waisted no time getting ready and jumping in. Logan has gotten much braver since last year. He jumped right in too. He has got to learn to shut his mouth though. He was soon swimming all over the place and having a great time. They swam until it was getting dark and they were shivering. They were not happy at all about having to get out, but they did.

They both fell asleep in the floor watching TV, so they stayed at Gam maw’s house for the night. Logan had fallen asleep on the couch and sat up and asked for something and when I couldn’t figure out what it was he got up to go get it and went and laid in the floor. His eyes were open, but he was not awake. It was very funny!

Finally, I am all caught up. It is Friday and we had a good day. Logan was wild at school, but that is nothing new. He is so sleepy he can’t stand it. Taylor had to bring a Bingo game today, but I don’t think they played it.

We are just hanging out at home waiting on time to go to the ballpark for Taylor’s game. It doesn’t start until 7:30 tonight. I hope they do good. He told me today he hated when they used the score board cause they always lose. Poor guy! They really do try!

Please be in prayer for Taylor as he continues to win against NB! Did you notice that it is the 1500th day post transplant. Wow. I thoght it would take forever to get to that day 100 where we could go without a mask and not go to clinic daily and look at us now. Praises!!!! Pray for all our buddies out there who are fighting! Pray for the ROl cyclists as they prepare to ride for the camp kids!

Today was pajama day at school. Logan was not real pleased that he did not get to wear his to school. Taylor was mad because he wanted to wear his flannel ones, but I had to say no on a 89 degree day. Nut!

They went to their 5th grade buddies class and watched a movie and ate popcorn. His buddies made him an a-z book and it is so cute. Each letter tells a story about something they did this year as buddies and has a picture too. I think he will miss his buddies when they move to the middle school next year. He also gave me my Mother’s day gift today. His teacher will be out tomorrow and they sent them home and I just had to open it. It is a cookbook that the kids wrote themselves. It is so cute! I will have to put Taylor’s hot peanut butter sandwich recipe on here. He put on the bottom, “they are yummy and I eat one everyday”. He has never had a peanut butter sandwich! He is too funny!

I took Taylor to practice while Jim trained again tonight. Logan played in a little dirt pile and was orange from head to toe and I mean literally, his hair was orange! I had to take him to Paw Paw’s to bathe before we could meat daddy for dinner. Yuck!

Today was watermelon roll day at school. They had races rolling them around. Taylor loved that, but he wouldn’t eat it. He hates watermelon! If he tastes something bad he will say, “ugh, that taste like a watermelon”. Can you imagine not liking watermelon? Crazy kid!

There was no practice today and the kids and I were home alone. Jim went riding after work. Please consider donating to Jim and his ROL. $150 dollars will send a child to weeklong camp. You can look at the pictures and read the updates to see how much fun Taylor has there and know your money was well spent.

The kids ended up in bed at 8:00. It was not on purpose. I bathed them and was going to let them play, but they climbed in bed, so I left them there. They were asleep sooner than I thought they would be at that time, but it took longer than usual.

Today Taylor took his green 4 wheeler to school. It looks like his real one. They watched Toy Story and had a laid back day.

Both boys had practice today at different places. I took Taylor to his and when Jim got there we went to Logan’s. That was a waiste of time. Logan sat with his back to the field with his glove on his head. He refused to field the ball and only wanted to bat. He cried and acted crazy the entire time. That is so frustrating, but there is nothing you can do. No one else was crying, but they were not playing ball either, so I guess I was not alone. They are only 3, so they are doing okay.

Here we are back at Monday. Only one more Monday for Taylor in school and 2 more for Logan and I. I think we can make it! I walked Taylor in with his Candyland game. It was board game day. He was excited, but anal me was crazy. I can’t stand pieces lost and boxes torn. However, knowing this, I got Mary’s old Candyland from the yard sale and now out brand new candyland at home is still fine! Granted the old one came back just fine, but I knew I couldn’t function if I hadn’t done it that way. It is my mom and dad’s fault, I got a double dose of the anal retentive thing! Thanks guys!

Anyway, I had a meeting here tonight. The boys played outside all evening while we were in here partying! It is real hard to make them come in and get ready for bed when it is still daylight outside, but we had them in and ready for bed by 9:00. Bed time gets later and later.

Tomorrow is bring a toy to school day and Taylor is busy searching for what he wants to bring. Oh, to have such worries…..

Today I had a purse party. Right up my alley huh! A co worker of Jim’s was so very generous to throw this party and give a portion of her earnings to his ROL. Thank you!!! We had a great time playing with the purses and jewelry. When that was over we just hung out at home for a while and did nothing. The kids played outside for the longest. Christian came over and played and did his best to keep up with them while he drug that heavy cast around. Kids are so resilient, he could care less about the thing!

The rest of the day was spent getting ready for the next week, the last full week of kindergarten. Wow!!!
